Surrey Wedding Photography – Nurscombe Farm

Towards the end of September I had he pleasure of photographing an old school friends sisters wedding. Abby was marrying Jon at St. John’s Church in Merrow, Surrey. Abby arrived at the church with her father in an immaculate, classic cream Jaguar MK II. Abby and Jon were married in the church by 15:30 hrs, Congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Cumming.

The bride and groom, wedding party, family and friends then all made their way to a marquee setup at Nurscombe Farm in Bramley, Surrey for a champagne reception. There was also an opportunity to stop at a small lake on the way to the reception venue and take some photographs of the newlyweds in the glorious sunny evening weather.

The wedding reception, speeches, first dance (one of the most challenging to photograph in a while) and evening celebrations were all held in the marquee and no doubt in to the early hours of Sunday.

Surrey Wedding Photography – Frensham Heights

At the beginning of September I had he pleasure of photographing Sue and Tom’s wedding at St. James’s Church in Rowledge, Surrey. Sue arrived at the church with her father in an open sided dark blue 1924 Oakland called ‘Maude’, one of a kind in this country. Sue and Tom were married in the church by 13:30 hrs, Congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Law.

The bride and groom, wedding party, family and friends then all made their way a short distance down the road to Frensham Heights in Rowledge, Surrey for a champagne reception on the stunning lawns overlooking the Surrey countryside. The wedding reception, speeches, cutting off the cake, first dance and evening celebrations were all held at Frensham Heights.

“We’re very happy that we chose Simon to be our wedding photographer. He worked absolutely tirelessly on the day, appearing in all the little nooks and crannies trying to get the best shot. We wanted someone who was unobtrusive but cared as much about the photographs as we did and we weren’t disappointed! The after wedding service with the album was great as well. We kept chopping and changing, adding pages, thinking about it for weeks on end and nothing was a problem. We spent a lot of time choosing our photographer but we came to the right choice in the end”

Surrey Wedding Photography – Guildford Registry Office

Towards the middle of August I had the pleasure of photographing a friends wedding, Ali and Adam at Guildford Registry Office, Surrey. Ali was taken to the registry office with her step father in a cream convertible Beetle adorned with pink ribbons. Quite strange to be photographing a wedding, but also part of it!!

Ali and Adam were married in the registry office by 14:30 hrs, Congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Hollingsworth.

The bride and groom, wedding party, family and friends all made their way to The White Hart in Wood Street Village, Surrey for a champagne reception and evening celebrations. The wedding reception, speeches, cutting off the cake, first dance and evening celebrations were all held in The White Hart pub. As you can see from some of the photos Ali and Adam had a great day and were truly up for a laugh in front of the camera.

Surrey Wedding Photography – Frensham Ponds Hotel

Towards the end of July I had the pleasure of photographing Claire and Adam’s wedding at Frensham Ponds Hotel, Surrey. A stunning venue overlooking the bigger of the two Frensham Ponds and the weather was dry and overcast, a nice natural diffuser. Claire and Adam were then married by 16:30 hrs, Congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Harmer.

The wedding reception, speeches, cutting of the amazing cake and first dance were all held in the Garden Suite at the hotel. A wonderful day, full of smiles, a few tears, happy emotions and a absolute privilege to witness and document through my camera.

Hampshire Wedding Photography – Groomes House

Towards the end of June I had the pleasure of photographing Emily & Rhy’s wedding at All Saints Church in Tilford, Surrey. Emily arrived at the church with her father in a light blue classic Bentley just before 14:00hrs. Emily and Rhys were married in the church by 14:30 hrs, Congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Rhidian.

The bride and groom, wedding party, family and friends then all made their way to Groomes House near Bordon, Hampshire for a champagne reception on the lovely lawns. The wedding reception, speeches, cutting off the cake and first dance were all held in a marquee in the lovely grounds at Groomes House overlooking the Hampshire countryside.

Wimbledon 2011 – Women’s Final Day

Over the weekend I was lucky enough to have received some Wimbledon tickets for the women’s final on centre court. It was my first visit and experience of seeing the tennis on centre court with the roof firmly open due to the gorgeous dry, sunny weather. The final was between Maria Sharapova and Petra Kvitova which started with them warming up on court at 14:00hrs.

Maria Sharapova went in to the game as favourite for the title which she first won in 2004. There was a great atmosphere at the All England Lawn Tennis Club for the final which Petra Kvitova won in straight sets 6-3 6-4 against the former champion from 2004.

After the women’s final, there was the men’s and women’s doubles finals, so a great afternoon of top quality tennis.

Hampshire Wedding Photography – Four Seasons Hotel

Towards the middle of June I had the pleasure of photographing Caroline & Tom’s wedding at The Four Seasons Hotel near Hook, Hampshire. Caroline & Tom both got ready in adjacent rooms within the hotel with the help of family and friends who had traveled from all parts of the world. All the family and guests were transported from the hotel to the nearby church in a classic Red London Bus, courtesy of Local Haunts from Southsea, Hampshire.

Caroline and Tom were then married in a private church nearby in Dogmersfield at 16:30 hrs – Congratulations again Caroline and Tom. The bride and groom, family and friends were then transported back to the hotel for reception drinks on the terrace just across from the venues lovely ballroom.

Hampshire Wedding Photography – Church in the Woods

Towards the middle of June I had the pleasure of photographing Beth & Ben’s wedding at St. Luke’s Church ‘The Church in the Woods’ in Milland, Hampshire. Beth & Ben were married in a lovely service in the church at 14:00 hrs on Saturday 11th June, 2011.

The wedding party then just had to walk across the church grounds to an adjoining field where a lovely reception marquee awaited for cream tea and cakes on the lawn. The wedding breakfast, speeches, lawn games and champagne flowed all afternoon. Congratulations again to Beth & Ben…………
